Titans to attend Rugby Youth Festival in Europe


Titans Rugby’s will be attending the Rugby Youth Festival in April 2018. The tournament sees the best teams from Europe and other parts of the world participate in two days of Rugby in Lisbon, Portugal in what is the 10th Edition in 2018. Titans Rugby will be looking to make a strong impact by participating with u13, u15 and u17 teams.


The Portugal Rugby Youth Festival is quickly establishing itself as the best European rugby tournaments for youth teams (clubs and schools). This event gives the teams an unforgettable experience both on and off the pitch. Rugby matches against international opponents, exciting leisure time activities and great entertainment – all in one of Europe´s most exciting cities, with its warm weather climate and white sandy beaches.


What makes this event unique, when compared to existing rugby tournaments, is the excellent standard of the playing facilities and event organization, the entertainment involved, accommodation options, high standard security, as well as the special experiences the city has to offer.


The tournament venue is located in the beautiful Lisbon University Stadium Complex, with its excellent grass pitches including its emblematic and historic honour stadium. As in previous editions, Titans Rugby expects not only a massive participation from Portuguese clubs but also squads from Spain, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and several other countries.


Titans Rugby has started their preparations by selecting a larger training squad for the u15 group and have already short listed players for next years u13 group which will consist of both u12’s and u13’s. Some of the best current u14 players are already going through friendlies and trials, this age group has one goal in mind, to bring the u15 title next year home to South Africa.
